Good, but petty deductible rule

Good experience, but deceiving the customer is a poison pill. Although only a difference of $25 for me, their $250 deductible is actually $275 because they take out 10% for "co-pays" even though you pay the full amount until deductible is paid...really petty of them and not how most insurance works.

Horrible

Horrible. I barely got anything back. So many things were NOT covered. I would have saved so much more money if I had not had this insurance.

DO NOT USE PETS BEST

CHOOSE ANOTHER INSURANCE WHILE YOU STILL CAN! PETS BEST DOES NOT COVER WHAT YOU'LL NEED. The most common injury for dogs is the ACL tear, the Cruciate Ligament Injury. Pets Best does not cover this even though is it an ACCIDENTAL INJURY, nor did they cover any of their listed covered medications and we just paid $4,500 out of pocket. For some reason, it lists that there is a "grace period of 6-12 months" before using coverage - false, it is not covered AT ALL, EVER. Wish we would have selected another insurance! Ask your vet for recs!

Money Trap

Seems like they will make up information to call anything a "pre-existing" condition and won't offer any other help or advice. Obviously not at all concerned with the health and no safety of my dog, completely impersonal and cold. I wish I could have my money refunded.

They are the "Best"!

Insured new puppy in November. Every traction and correspondence has been handled quickly, to my delight. Could not be happier with my decision to purchase this insurance.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
