Cancelling our policy

Our vet called us, recommended nape widening because our French Bulldog’s airflow was restricted. According to Pet’s Best this was cosmetic surgery?! They denied the claim.

Pet's Best Pet Health Insurance was the …

Pet's Best Pet Health Insurance was the best choice I've ever made in reference to my pets. I have 4 dogs, and 1 of them became allergic to just about everything grass related after about 8 years of running out in the different woods up here in the Northwest and Pet's Best has been a life saver in more ways than I can count. Not only is she allergic to all sorts of stuff, but she has had UTI's, Kidney & Liver issues for the past 4 years, and oh by the way, just recently had an episode of Idiopathic (Geriatric) Vestibular Syndrome, which reminds me of Jackie Chan in "Drunken Master", because she moves like she is drunk, her head now tilts to the left and her balance is not all there. Pet's Best is so compassionate, caring, and professional in all of their actions and mannerism in helping me out, whether by phone or on-line chat when I'm filling out claim forms or asking questions about my policy on my dogs.

Submitting claims is so easy, their turnaround time is prompt and timely. Great customer service team. Best pet insurance out there!

Good, but petty deductible rule

Good experience, but deceiving the customer is a poison pill. Although only a difference of $25 for me, their $250 deductible is actually $275 because they take out 10% for "co-pays" even though you pay the full amount until deductible is paid...really petty of them and not how most insurance works.

Horrible

Horrible. I barely got anything back. So many things were NOT covered. I would have saved so much more money if I had not had this insurance.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
