Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

I received 3 phone calls on my first claim. 2 of them were strictly about Benadryl. They denied part of my dogs claim because I personally without a rx gave my dog benadryl. I brought her to the vet to find she had an ear infection. They denied this part because I have her benadryl in Aug. They didn't ask if it worked and they didn't ask why. What one has to do with the other I will never know. This was my pets 1st vet visit besides when she was 8mos which never determined her to have allergies so the response is invalid in my eyes

I have major medical plus wellness plan on my poodle. Just received the EOB for dental cleaning and only received $96.00 with note that exceeds annual allowable amount. This is the 1st time Pets Best has been billed for this procedure so how can it exceed the allowable amount? I pay in excess of $700.00 annually for his insurance, what a rip off.

Their claim review is easy to do, they are fast and fair. All excellent

I learned about and purchased Pets Best for my dog and cat because I work for Farmers Insurance, and they have partnered with Pets Best to better serve our clients needs and offer this added protection. Working in insurance, I know it's something you expect to pay for and hope to never use. I never expected my dog would be diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) less than six months later. :( I submitted the claim and they got to work on it within a few days. Unfortunately, to no fault of their own, my primary vet took quite a while getting vet records to me, which delayed the claim. But every time I called or emailed Pets Best with questions, they were easy to reach and very friendly. My claims have been paid promptly and correctly for my policy. I had my reimbursement within about 4 or weeks of filing it, but over two weeks of that was due to my vet delay. Assuming this kind of treatment continues, I plan to have every pet insured with them for life. Thank you Pets Best, truly. My dog wouldn't have received the aggressive treatment without this policy. Forever grateful for that!

I have used Pets Best for the past 2 years or more for my rescue dog. She's a mix with a lot of Cattle Dog in her, so you can imagine how much trouble she can get in to! When I first adopted her, she had to have a tooth extraction due to decay (presumably from her time living on the streets before she was found). Pets Best wellness coverage reimbursed me a portion of her tooth cleaning, and clarified the reasoning for the partial coverage. More recently, she was attacked by an animal while outside in Kentucky farm country. We just moved here. She needed an emergency vet procedure to clean out the wounds, receive sutures, and have a drainage tube inserted. At $800 out-of-pocket, I am SOOO happy with Pets Best. I submitted an itemized receipt along with her emergency vet discharge summary with my accident claim and a few days later had my response. Pets Best covered about 70% of the charge (Out-of-Pocket cost less my Co-pay and my Deductible). It very clearly explained what was covered and what was not. I received a check in the mail shortly after. Fast, no hassle claims! Love it! PLUS! They offer an on-call vet phone service through one of their partners for 24/7 question support. I have made numerous calls... How runny is too runny? Should she be sleeping so much? Why might her leg be sore? Do I need to take her to the vet? And so on. Overall, very pleased!
