Pets Best was fast and fair in its service

If you've shopped, tried and been disappointed previously, check out this company! Went through Petplan, VPI and Nationwide with a chronically allergic calamity prone fur child. 1.5 yrs = broken nails w infections, dog bites, abscesses, ER visits, atopic dermatitis, puncture wounds, lameness & finally dx of elbow dysplasia. X Rays for that dx were fully reimbursed and the policy paid for itself just from that one $600 bill. I pay $53 per month. EVERY claim, EVERY time, submitted in 5 min online, fully paid per policy terms, w/in 7 days. SIMPLE, SAFE & HONORABLE COVERAGE.

Customer Service is always helpful and friendly. Claims are done in a timely fashion. With an older dog this has been priceless.

First, let me start by saying I understand that the coverage did not cover STANDARD periodontal disease. That being said, my 3 year old cat had a rapidly progressing (less than 6 months) dental issue, with restorative lesions and severe mouth pain. She had trouble eating due to the pain, and we got her in for the procedure as soon as we could. She ended up having 13 teeth extracted. Pet's Best insisted this was your run-of-the-mill periodontal disease, like you would see in an older cat, that progresses over the years. My 3 year old cat (She's a Norwegian, so not even fully mature) got her wellness exams on a regular basis, and had stellar teeth up until her exam in April 2017, when the vet said we would need to have some extractions done by the end of the year. Her teeth deteriorated so quickly, we needed to take her in 5 months later for the extractions. I had to appeal their decision twice, and I finally got a judgement. My deductible is $500 (the procedure was over $1,000), and they paid me $490 and change - toward my deductible. They only paid for two of the 13 tooth extractions. I've had Pet's Best for many years, and have never filed a claim. I will no longer be using this company.

I have been very pleased with the coverage this insurance has given me and my pups. The first claim took about 2 weeks to receive the payment, after that the claims have been covered in less than a week. They are very willing to assist and answer questions by phone, and the policy is well explained.
