Pets Best insurance recommended by my own Health Insurance Company, is a wonderful option I have been hoping for for some time.

When my own health insurance company(happens to be HealthPartners) offered their recommendations and a discount for pet insurance, I jumped on the opportunity. We have two healthy dogs, but the heafty vet bill for tests and well checks(immunizations) was almost becoming unaffordable. My husband and I are at retirement age and it was getting difficult to pay the well exams. Since Pets Best Health insurance covers the well exam right away, we were extremely pleased to see the generous payment deposited into our checking account.

This program is a waste of money

This program is a waste of money. They do not reimburse the 80% they claimed they would when I initially signed up. I will not be renewing my plan.

Our year old Chocolate Poodle

Our year old Chocolate Poodle, 7 pounds, had both bad knees (luxating Patella). She had Orthopedic Surgery at Kansas State University on both back knees, and was in ICU for a couple of days. Because she is so young, we felt it was well worth the surgery so she could walk better......Pet's Best covered the claim exactly like our policy said!!! And it was expensive! We had the money in our bank account within 10 days of the surgery!

We just adopted a puppy and we were…

We just adopted a puppy and we were searching for an insurance plan which would give us the best bang for our buck. We recieved so much more by choosing Pets Best! We filed our first insurance claim and the process was super easy and hassle free. We simply attached an itemized receipt and with no questions asked money was in our account within 5 days!! If only all insurance was that easy! I highly recommend Pets Best insurance.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
