The claims process is very easy

The claims process is very easy, especially with the use of the app. The only complaint I have is the timeliness or claim processing. I do appreciate the initial ratings processing window and the interim update though which helps me understand the delays.

Paid back on claims

I had been getting paid back on claims for my dogs corneal ulcer. Brought her in for a check up after a month of not going because I still saw a spot. They found an additional abrasion on top of the corneal ulcer so I was told to come back in another month to check it. I was reimbursed completely up until this point. The final checkup I was not reimbursed for. Disappointing.

I'm really glad I have insurance

My dachshund is having high numbers on his blood tests. Several tests have been given but they are still high. I'm really glad I have insurance in case things get bad.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
