after submitting a claim for my dogs…
after submitting a claim for my dogs ear infection. I had waited a month and nothing was done regarding processing the claim. It pisses me off to have to call to prompt action. Then after another week I go online to find out my claim was not approved claiming it was a preexisting condition. It was an ear infection not heart disease. Their answer was he had other ear infections before. That's like saying he had a cold and now future colds aren't covered total bullsit. On top of all that if I wanted to complain I would have to APPEAL!!! Too much on my end for cheap coverage!!!! Bad Company I'm totally disappointed. I'm going to call the BBB too I'm not going to let this company take advantage. They take the premiums but don't pay claims.

Our golden mut
Our Patrick came to us after being fostered by people that saved him from a high kill shelter in Gallup NM. He immediately showed signs of anxiety (tore up an entire room of carpet) and pets best was there with our claim for his anxiety meds. Fast forward a few years and he now has developed a thyroid issue. There they were again; helping with blood testing and the cost of medication. I tell people all the time that we have let insurance and usually get a "really?" but it has saved us time and time again!

My dog has been on a plan with Pets…
My dog has been on a plan with Pets Best for 4 years. I submitted a claim 2 weeks ago and expected a reimbursement after 7-10 days. When I first called to find out why I had not received the reimbursement, I was told it was taking 18 days to process claims. I waited another few days and called again and this time I was told claims were now so far behind due to growth that it could take 25-28 days. I insisted on speaking with a manager and vented my frustration as Pet's Best have processed my payments over the 4 years every month on the scheduled date and if they are getting bigger, they should have planned for this event. I am really unimpressed with them and will definitely shop around as this situation does not leave me confident that they are above board.
Monthly Cost
$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.
Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states).
Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care.
24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method.
Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.
Payout Limits
$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan.
Unlimited lifetime limits.
Deductible
$50 – $1,000 annually.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll.
Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.
Waiting Period
A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
