Pets Best | Pet Insurance Review

Perhaps they think we'll just say oh never mind?they don't get the faxes, they don't get the faxes.. they don't get an email.. give me a break. they will just try to delay it until it passes the deadline for submission. Do they pay the vets bill? No, they pay.. sometimes.... but what they decide to pay. Is a bill from the vet stamped paid .. qualify as a paid receipt? no, they must have it written their way ..even though each vet has their own invoice style.It is all b...t. I'm very unhappy with them since my first claim. Looking around for another company.. for my pets.. I have several.. I'm told that all insurance companies all awful . that's not encouraging.

after reading some of the reviews i was surprised,on some of them. i have had no problems with pest best. i have had it for a year for a bull mastiff i bought last year as a puppy and submited 3 claims that were payed out in a timely manner

I just wanted to express my complete amazement at how quickly and easily the process has been to file a claim and receive my money for reimbursement. Every month that I paid the premiums, I asked myself if it was worth it to have insurance on my dogs. Well I received the answer when my Greyhound Irene had a horrible fracture of her little toe. The claims where submitted to Pets Best, and within 10 days they were processed and I had a check in my hand. No problems at all where encountered. It was a burden off of my shoulders to know that I could make the best decision on treatment for her based on what was best and not how much it was.

When I looked at health insurance for our new dog, I found that most had schedules of amounts that they would pay for any given condition. Having no way to know what the bills would be likely to be for any condition, I looked for a better alternative. Pets Best offered a very simple benefits schedule: For most conditions, they pay 80% of the amount, after the deductible. Recently, our dog got pancreatitis. It was a real relief not to have to worry about the size of the bill when she suddenly got sick. And in fact, Pets Best gave us a determination on our claim online, and we had the actual check within a couple of weeks. Aside from a small charge for fecal testing (one of their exclusions), they covered 80% of everything after the deductible. This experience made me confident that the insurance really will be there when needed.

My cat was scratching her stomach raw and my friend's sister was a dermatologist vet who recommended I get pet insurance, Pets Best in particular, before I see her, since they had good coverage for specialists. I ended up participating in a vet dermatologist trial that did not require insurance but subsequently my cat got very sick with triaditis (inflamatory bowel, pancrease and liver) and within the span of six months I spent about $5,000 out of my own pocket on care for her. Pets Best covered the specified 80% (minus food and extra nights that I boarded her) and I got close to about $4,000 back. They dealt directly with the vet for any questions (requesting records) and informed me they were doing so and each claim receipt and status was clearly communicated to me. They've worked great for me and I'd recommend them to others.
