Excellent communication

Excellent communication. Plan coverage is excellent and everything is so easy to process. I greatly appreciate that there are no hidden exclusions or unexpected things denied on my policy. This was a great purchase - we had a puppy with an injury and minor illness. I’m so happy with this plan!

My dog was throwing up and couldn’t keep anything down. I was really scared. They ran tests and gave him some fluids and medication . Positive outcome. My claim was promptly paid. This insurance is consistently professional and timely with all my claims.

Terribly long wait times to process…

Terribly long wait times to process claims, excessively long hold time on phone, live chat is a joke, they responded around 8 hours later and they emailed me to call them with additional documentation to process my claim after 28 days but I couldn't get through! Maybe you could have just emailed me what you needed! The only thing that goes smoothly is my auto-payment of the premium every month, which is too high but I can't change it until the renewal date!

Happy but not

I have always been very happy with your insurance as this would be my fourth or fifth dogs that I have insured with you. The price is starting to get a bit prohibited but I just can’t imagine having to make a life and death decision based on money. Also your paying claims has become unacceptable. Taking a month to process a claim is crazy. Other than that you guys are the best in the business

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
