Best decision made

Not The Best

The coverage is cheap, but that is because they don't cover much. I have submitted 2 claims. 1. Routine shots for dogs under 2 years old (partially accepted) and 2. Routine flea prevention and heart worm prevention pills (denied). These services Could of been paid out of pocket and i would have saved money. Weigh the cost before proceeding.

Hospital Stay

The only problem I had with Pets Best is that they took a bit long to respond to me (although they did email me to let me know that they were dealing with a high volume of claims). When they did look at my claims the couldn't read the copies of the documents I sent and that almost became a problem but, I resent the documents and they paid my claim. Honestly, that is all that matters to me. They reimbursed me when it counted so I highly recommend Pets Best!

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
