Jonathan M is good for Nationwide

Called to set up insurance for my new dog Mina and talked with the nicest rep by the name of Jonathan M. I already knew I wanted pet insurance but if I wasn’t sure talking with Jonathan definitely would have helped me decide to go with Nationwide. Thank you Jonathan for your professionalism, knowledge and the laughs.

This company continues to find way to…

This company continues to find way to decline claims. It is almost comical at this point. In this latest instance, my dog physically hurt his paw and they are asking for medical records for the last 16 months so see if his current hurt paw is a pre-existing condition. Anything they can label as a pre-existing condition is their way out of paying. The person that tried to help me was kind and understanding, but she couldn't help. The company used to be great and I would have recommended them with no concern. I would never recommend them at this point. Something happened over the last couple years - making them extremely hard to deal with and trying to screw the customers in any way possible. As someone who has had this service for years, I have been a very loyal customer that has paid them a lot of money, and nowI am debating if I just cancel because I don't have the energy to fight them time after time- especially for something as cut and dry as an injured paw.

Have been insured 28 years

Have been insured 28 years . Was treated like royalty with VPI then Nationwide acquired VPI, the transition was seem less! Same expedient/professional service. Through the years we’ve endured Hip replacement surgery, & literally everything in between. Nationwide has been a life saver. As with any insurance, If you have the proper coverage you will be taken care of. I’m truly grateful we have this amazing coverage as we move forward into Chantilly’s senior years! Thank you Nationwide!❤️🐕

Been a client for over 10 years.

I've been with Nationwide for both my dogs for over ten years. They have knowledgeable service agents that can answer all my questions. Yes, I have had some claims that I didn't agree with the decision. Nationwide does review a claim that has been denied if you request it. I see some of the unfavorable reviews - complaints of no reimbursement whatsoever - the reason might be due to the coverage selected. I have the Major Medical Plan and the CareGuard Premier Coverage. These two benefits have offered us the most coverage - my dogs have been through two knee surgeries, chemotherapy for both and diabetes. When my little guy passed away Mid-July, Nationwide reimbursed all the remaining money paid for his policy. Overall, I firmly support Nationwide in caring for my dogs.

Haven't had to use the policy

Haven't had to use the policy, but credit card renewal did not occur and the Nationwide agent, Miikai, helped me out and brought the account up to date. He was a knowledgeable and professional young man. Hope to never use the policy, but so far, a good experience with Nationwide.
