Troubleshoot

I was having trouble setting up my electronic refund. The representative was very patient and helpful on the phone. She was willing to wait and troubleshoot the issues till we figure it out, even though it took us 30 something minutes.

Discontinuation of Wellness Coverage for Pets

I am very disappointed that Nationwide has made the unfortunate decision to no longer offer wellness coverage for their exotic health insurance. As a bird owner, wellness doctor visits are vital to ensure the good health of birds. This is an awful awful decision.

Save your money

I paid $847.00 for a policy which included wellness care. Physical exam, vaccinations, fecal and heartworm tests, cost me $524.56. They reimbursed $240.00. My dog hurt her leg. Vet bill was $269.67, they paid $3.93. So for $794.23, they reimbursed me $273.60. Would you call this good insurance? I call it a scam. They seem to think that veterinarians are charging 1970 prices today.

There are better options out there

Canceled today to find a company that actually cares. Applied through my employer, provided all medical records for my dogs, confirmed no pre-existing conditions, and was told my policy would go into effect in 30 days. Well, my dog desperately needed a teeth cleaning so near the end of the 30 day period I paid for the pre-dental exam, that way once insurance kicked in I could take him in for the full cleaning immediately. Well, after insurance kicks in and I get his teeth cleaned I submit a claim for the full cleaning and they say because I got the pre-exam a few days before the activation date it qualifies as a pre-existing condition. The insurance wouldn't have covered the pre-exam anyway, that's why I paid for it and we confirmed he had no pre-existing conditions before that. Obviously, I would've waited another couple of days if this little loophole was made clear by the mountain of documents they sent me or by any single agent at all, but then they'd actually have to do their job and cover my pets. Absolutely ridiculous, I'm finding an insurance provider that will actually do what I pay them for and take care of my pets. Glad I found out they suck early so they didn't get much of my money.
