Thank goodness for pet insurance

Thank goodness for pet insurance, which we got for our Boxers when they we're about 6 months old. After seeing three different vets, we found out that Natale had come down with Valley Fever. Seeing specialist running test, x-rays, medication has been costly, Because of Nationwide Insurance, we can manage as we only pay the deductible and our 10% of cost., plus our monthly premium for the Insurance. I would advise every Pet Owner to get Dog Insurance, as Vet Bills are costly.

Claims processing is very delayed

The plan provides good coverage but we pay a high premium for the coverage and the backlog of claims and the processing time needs to be addressed. Thank you. I did receive a letter telling me another 30-days was needed but had to keep up with status calls on the payment.

Nationwide is the best/

My claim was settled quickly. The only hiccup was with the direct payment. My experience with Chase was not that pleasant which is not the fault of Nationwide. I must say that my questions when I call Nationwide are always answered. The representatives are helpful, knowledge and friendly. I never feel that I am that an interrupting their day. This insurance came available to me through my employer and I am happy for the convenience.

Worth the peace of mind

So far so good with Nationwide Pet Insurance. I feel the monthly rate is reasonable given all the vet appointments the first year of puppy life and their reimbursement rate is good! I would recommend.

Happy with the insurance.

I have insurance for my dog and cat, great to know they will be taken care of if they were very sick and not send me to the poor house.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
