False advertising
The salesman failed to mention that you have to go through this ridiculous process to submit a claim and that all of my so called "free" exams and routine checks are actually supposed to be paid for by yourself and later returned to you as a "rebate" after a pain in the butt submission process.

WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
I try to answer all of these Nationwide follow-ups post Ms. Doobs having a puppy crash, or yacking what's left of the sofa everywhere (okay, she did not eat the sofa), although perhaps it's beginning to sound like a broken record, but here goes: Pet insurance of any variety offers peace of mind, but Nationwide excels at plans, no sneaky clauses, paying claims under the policy (e.g. after deductible met, a covered illness or incident -which for us, so far, is just about everything) and paying these claims, remarkably fast. As in Mel Gibson's draw at the poker table in the remake of Maverick, fast. (Jody Foster, "Was that fast? I think that was fast.")
Now having the option to get reimbursed directly to our bank account, is one less step in my life, the consequence of which is, more time for the Doobster, who is now trending in her terrible twos.

Easy and fairly quick to pay
I have been very impressed with Nationwide Pet Insurance. They are easy to deal with and fairly quick to reimburse me for my payments to the vet. I have the Whole Pet wellness policy. The only disappointment is that they don't help pay for supplements but they have taken care of about everything else!
Monthly Cost
Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
