AMAZING

I have had no issues with this insurance. It was recommended by Thor's vet to get pet insurance ASAP. At first I was a little hesitant, but I am so thankful that we did get it! Puppy immunizations were covered, when he ate something he wasn't supposed to, it was covered, when he had allergic skin reactions it was covered. I will be staying with Nation Wide for a long time. The claims are also handled within the month period and the report of the claim is easy to understand.

I am very happy with this insurance.

I had this insurance for 7 years with my previous dog, and I am so thankful I did because unfortunately my dog had a lot of problems and the insurance really was an important part of her healthcare. So, of course, I continue this insurance for my new puppy.

This is the first time I've had pet insurance, and glad I have Nationwide.

This is the first time I've issued a claim with Nationwide. I had enrolled with the insurance plan earlier on in the year. I was a little skeptical, but it all worked out. I understand I got paid 90% of the claim with a $250 deductible - which seems fair to me ,and which is what I got. But Nationwide was very helpful with my questions and concerns. My veterinarian is a little expensive so I was worried if I would get reimbursed to even close to what I paid - and it was pretty close. I may go back to my less expensive vet for next year though.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
