They pay for what they say they will pay. It takes 2-3 weeks from the time you file the claim (sending it in by mail) until you receive your check.

Always a big help with vet costs
our family has trusted Nationwide Pet insurance for many years. We get it through my work, which makes paying very simple. We take our responsibility as pet owners very seriously, and want the best for our dogs. Combined with Care Credit, we have a system that if one of our two standard poodles needs help, we are able to provide that help. Nationwide does tend to take a bit of time to review the claims but we just make the payments on the care credit card while we are waiting for disbursement. I have recommended this system to many people that I work with that have animals.

Wonderful insurance to have so that you do not feel conflicted between money and helping your pet!
The overall process of completing the claims and submitting documentation online was a breeze. I also received a full payment (minus the deductible) for my claims without any issues. The only part of the process that was a little disappointing was how long it took to receive the funds, which was over a month. They did email me though at about the one month mark to let me know they were still working on it, so I appreciated that. The transfer of the funds straight into my bank account was also very simple and efficient. I would recommend this product to anyone with a pet!

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.

Exclusions
