Slow and unresponsive
I signed up for pet insurance through my employer after having assessed the pros and cons financially of obtaining full medical coverage for my fur baby. Although the cons would have won the argument, I did sign up for this coverage and decided that in order for my dog to stay healthy, I would have his teeth professionally cleaned since I’ve not been able ever to brush his teeth. It’s been months now that I submitted the claim and -NOTHING from Nationwide.
On paper it seemed like great coverage, in reality it’s been abysmal.

Reimbursed with vet expenses
When a emergency vet made us pay up front for my dogs treatment, and they ended up doing nothing for him, they only reimbursed part of their fees they charges us. We then took him to our vet for a second opinion where he ended up needing surgery. So we ended up paying triple the amount we should have in the end, Nationwide stepped in and helped us by reimbursing most of our vet bill. Thank you so much Nationwide!

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
