Originally, I didn't want to get pet insurance on our two-month-old puppy, but my daughter and my wife convinced me to do so. Now I am glad I did, because the insurance covered a lot of the problems we have faced with our dog. We had two rescue dogs (mostly German shepherds) when "Lola" came into our life. When she entered the front door, she immediately became the Alpha dog. Her chewing has almost stopped. She's left behind a lot of chair rungs half-eaten, numerous dog toys chewed to bits, stuffing out of dog beds, and, yes, even wood chips. She is the fastest dog we've ever had and can run rings around our other two dogs. And, of course, whenever any food drops to the floor, she the first on the scene. She loves to stand five-feet tall on her two hind legs and kiss you. My wife, Cecelia, welcomes her into her bed at night and Lola frequently falls asleep on her shoulder and neck. Despite her many faults, she's a constant source of surprise and happiness to us and we love her dearly.

Quick turnover for reimbursement

I've been with Nationwide for several years. The claims for Ginnie have been processed quickly and efficiently. Whenever I've had questions the customer service agents have been able to answer my questions and provide good advice on how to process the claim. We recently upgraded Ginnie's coverage. Cost of additional benefits was clearly explained. Glad I upgraded it was worth the extra cost.

I love the insurance coverage for my dog, but I feel like reimbursement times need to be faster as I have to pay out of pocket up front on top of my premium and if the bill were over $500 and I had to wait 3 weeks for payment, I would go hungry for that time period.
