Processing time needs major improvement

I’ve been with nationwide for over 3 years now and I’m not impressed. I’m only staying because it’s less expensive than other providers and coverage is pretty good. Two things I really dislike are the quality of customer service and processing time. Every time I call in, the customer service representatives are not helpful nor do they sound like they have empathy. Luckily I don’t have to deal with them often. Their worst thing is their processing time. It takes about 3 weeks to process my reimbursement requests. This is absurd. It should not take this long to process something so simple. All in all, I have no loyalty to nationwide.

Excellent coverage

My husband bought this policy through his employer benefits and I was very skeptical at first. I was wrong. The coverage and service have been exceptional. We just added coverage for our new puppy as well.

claims

I would like to see errors in claims sent email rather than postal mail. It would give a faster turnaround on the outstanding claims.

Good service, just a bit slow

Nationwide has been a good provider for CJ's insurance care - I was feeling a little frustrated with this latest claim - took longer than I would think for processing.

The Best Coverage Ever

The customer service people are the best. Claims are processed accurately and very timely, I wish the vets office were as good.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.
