I wish I’d heard about Nationwide sooner.

I had gone with another insurance company before I knew about Nationwide. They were overpriced and barely covered anything—certainly not well puppy visits. There mobile app is good for filing claims—a little confusing to use, but it does the job. And so far Nationwide has been very good with handling claims in a timely manner. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone—especially if you have a new puppy like I do.

Wonderful product. So thankful to have it.

We are so grateful to have Natiowide for our boy! He is a young, healthy, beautiful boy - but he had a such rough year last year! First - ongoing GI issues, and then being hit by a car in a freak accident. Nationwide stood by us all the way. Multiple expensive testing, treatments, and a surgery - all covered. Now that he is healthy and happy - we know we could not have done it without your help!

Having Nationwide insurance gives great peace of mind

You guys are great and I recommend you to all the humans that I teach dog obedience to. Morgan went through a round of antibiotics but then had a bladder infection and had to take another type of medicine for 14 days. She seems better now. This time , my expense was not as great and I have not sent a claim. I do not want to wear out my welcome since you were so good this last episode.

Claim settled quickly and appropriately

My dog had her semi-annual senior check up as well as her first teeth cleaning, where the vet also removed a small benign cyst from her foot. Claims for both services were settled expediently and with appropriate explanation of coverage.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
