Thank you for being there for us!

I have never had pet insurance until my company offered it this year and I am soooo glad I took it out! My dog Beau has never been sick or hurt in his life, but the day before we left on our summer vacation, our Labrador Beau got into a scrape with another dog at daycare and got bit under his eye. He wound up in the ER with a couple of staples. We thought that was the end of it, and my husband and I left on a ten day, thousand mile trip cross country with Beau. Halfway there Beau developed an infection and had to have emergency surgery! What was a frightening and stressful time, was made so much better just knowing we were financially protected - especially so far from home! Thank you so much for coming through for us. Beau had amazing care, and we are celebrating his sixth birthday as I write this. Thanks for taking care of us.

Great coverage

My puppy was hit by car and the claim was extensive. Nationwide processed the claim quickly so I was able to pay off the Credit card before too much interest accrued.

Nationwide is ALWAYS by my dog’s side

I recently adopted a shelter dog and I immediately purchased Pet Insurance for her. Nationwide has been through the thick and thin with her medical issues. I recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to EVERYONE!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
