Love the Help Line

I recently called the Vet Help Line for a snake bite incident. As always, they are a great help and are able to keep me calm in an emergency situation. And they always follow-up afterwards. The turn around time on claims seems to be getting longer and longer. That is my only complaint.

Best decision I ever made!

This policy is better than my own health insurance. Paid EVERY dime less the deductible. I recommend this to everyone I see that has a pet. Especially those that like to chew tennis balls and eat them 🐶

I'm so thankful for Nationwide Pet Insurance!

I have always thought of my dogs as healthy but my sweet, 10 year old girl Khloe (a Chihuahua) started having problems with her back leg out of the blue. Turns out it was a torn CCL (like an ACL knee injury that I think of skiers and snowboarders getting!). After I paid my $250 deductible, I got a check back for 90% of the cost of her expensive surgery. It was a great day getting that insurance check in the mail! Khloe is doing great and back to her old (young-at-heart), playful self!

Importance of pet insurance

My sister recommend we get pet insurance when we got our dog. Thank goodness we listened. Pets can expensive especially when an unexpected issue occurs. Nationwide has been great.

So grateful for Nationwide

Trust and appreciate all Nationwide has done to help with my K-9 Opal’s care. She is a SAR dog with exposes her to a higher risk on injury and they are always there to support us.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
