It's a joke

Nationwide has been laughable. First off the rates continue to go up and up and up every year. Every time I call to see why it has gone up, the CSR's just say cause the dog is getting older. They put you on hold and repeat the same thing over and over. They say what you want to hear. They are like robots. They will say it will go up every year, but nothing drastic, but it keeps going up and up. By the time your dog gets to be old enough, the rate was DRASTIC! There is no loyalty at all whatsoever. Even if you've been with Nationwide since the dog was 8 weeks old, it will still go up cause the dog is getting older. Joke. Secondly, filing a claim is painful. it takes up to at least 10-14 days to get an answer. It could be the simplest claim and it takes weeks to get an answer. No way it should take this long. When i get a new dog, I will unfortunately be going through someone else. I don't care if your pitch/slogan is that we were the first Pet Insurance company, blah, blah, blah. That sounds good, but so does showing loyalty to your customers. It just isn't there. Since no loyalty is shown, I will take my $100 a month elsewhere. For what you are paying monthly, it's not worth it. I have a high maintenance dog (English Bulldog), and with what you are paying over the life of the dog and the increase in rates every year, you are not getting your money's worth. If the rates state the same or went up every other year or something along those lines, it would make sense. Again, no loyalty is shown. You are just another customer. They punt you'll to the side of the road, and move on.

Maggie-Mae, our Great Pyrenees, needed stitches after running into a glass door. We took her into the vet and the bill was taken car of.
