Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

This company is a hot mess. They say the claim process is 30 days but mine was 4 months and i was just told they needed an additional 30 days. My claim was for dental cleaning and blood test. I enrolled in june of 2018 and gave them all the info on vets at that time. It wasn't until I submitted a claim did they say they needed additional info and had me calling to get the info they were suppose to have gotten back in June. They received the info and I was told 30 days. Now I'm told an additional 6 weeks. This is really ridiculous. I would recommend another company. My feeling is that nationwide delays to make reimbersments

I have referred several pet owners to Nationwide. The coverage is great, and the premium is very affordable. My pet is covered from her wet little nose to the tip of her wagging tail. I have had general questions in the past, and found the customer service very friendly and professional. I was very fortunate to hear of Nationwide through my niece. I am planning to get another pet in the not to distant future and will again use Nationwide to cover that pet.

We have recommended your pet insurance to many people and can't imagine why more people don't have it. The service we have received since starting with VPI/Nationwide as far back as 1993/4? has just been great. Thank you.

Claims are easy to submit via VitusVet app. Claim usually processed within 2 weeks. Love that they offer electronic payments once your claim is approved. I think the overall process would be a lot smoother if everything is all on one app. It’s nice that you can submit them electronically but in order to check on the status you must login to Nation Wide online.

Nationwide’s Whole Pet policy is worth every penny. It’s the best policy I’ve ever had for my numerous cats. Reimbursements have been quick and filing claims with the Vitus Vet app is fast and easy.
