I would recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to anyone with a pet
When we adopted our little puppy, she was an abandoned dog from the Malibu fires in 2018. She had been cared for by a rescue organization who recommended we purchase the insurance. While we had been unsure about pet insurance with our past animals, it seemed like a good idea this time. We had just spent the last few years with aging pets who required a lot of expensive office visits. We didn't want that again!
One of the most refreshing things with Nationwide is how easy it is to make claims and get paid! We even have the claims payments direct deposited to our account. It never takes long and is always as expected.
This has been a very good decision for our family and our little pup.
Monthly Cost
Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
