Very supportive, so happy I purchased insurance through Nationwide

Nationwide pet insurance is true to their word. They reimbursed 90% of a very costly, necessary procedure for my sweet puppy. I don't know if I would have been able to afford it without Nationwide. When I called the customer service team with questions regarding submitting my claim, they walked me through it and made the process seamless. I have recommended Nationwide to everyone I know who has or is planning on getting a dog.

I’m so thankful to have had Nationwide Insurance

We were out of the country when we got a call that Wicket would need surgery due to having an umbilical hernia. It was extremely stressful to be on the other side of the world, 15 hours ahead, and not know what was happening to him. When they told us the estimate for the surgery, we almost died at the cost. A small price to pay for him but thank god we had this insurance because it ended up covering a little more than half. I will always recommend nationwaide ort insurance to any pet mom/dad.

Filing claim was easy, and I was impressed with response.

The claim form is simple to complete and the follow up was quick. I am very thankful we have this insurance.

Disappointed

Meaty lost his vision rather quickly and through 2 appointments with our vet and some tests it was not determined what the cause was. We were referred to an opthalmologist for additional tests and evaluations without an answer. The opthalmologist did determine that Meaty's eyes were functioning and the issue must be neurological. After submitting the paper work I was told not much was covered but I could submit doctor SOAP notes. My refund did increase but was still less than expected. One of the reasons being loss of vision not being covered due to old age. I question the value of insurance when it doesn't cover issues in older dogs. I have been paying monthly premiums for almost 7 years in anticipation of needing it later in life.
