It was comforting to know he could be seen without it becoming a financial burden

I signed up with VPI before Nationwide took over but have never regretted my decision. In the 6 years we've had Rook in our lives, we've only had to draw on the insurance in an emergency three times. The refunds we get for regular healthcare is nice, but it is those after hour calls when we think this family member might be in real trouble that our relationship with Nationwide is most appreciated. We are blessed that his 'emergencies' were minor and easily resolved by Dr. Fink and his staff. We are very grateful to Nationwide's pet coverage and would refer it to anyone.

Never deny claims and reimburse quickly

I’m so glad I have Nationwide coverage. With a very active dog, things do happen from time to time. Nationwide has paid every claim I’ve filed in a very reasonable period of time. No questions asked. I’m super grateful. I wouldn’t have a dog without Nationwide coverage.

Drake says that he was fine the next morning after the Emergency Cobb Vet visit. They new what was wrong and took action.

Yes, we have recommended this pet insurance to other pet owners. It has been a great pet insurance. We started with the original Pet insurance as our records should show. We had two other Griffons covered by VPI then Nationwide, they were Dusky and Ajaxmtn. We are so glad that we have had pet insurance. Thanks for the wonderful service. Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
