So glad I have pet insurance through Nationwide!

This is my 1st time with Pet Insurance. I got insurance for my new puppy. I am so thankful that I have the piece of mind! I recently took her to the vet due to a cough. It turns out she caught a pretty serious illness. Thanks to pet insurance, I did not hesitate to take her to the vet. We caught this early enough where she only felt bad 1 day. I've been telling all my friends getting puppies that pet insurance is a must have.

FAST AND EASY

Tod got really sick very suddenly, and I spent thousands within a matter of days. Within a short time, Nationwide had reimbursed me the full 90% they promised. So grateful I had the plan in place!

I am so happy we went with Nationwide for our Jeff's pet insurance! We have had nothing but great experiences and honestly believe that things will only get easier and better over time! Ease of filing claims and helpful customer service

Plan coverage and price is very good compared to other providers. Claim filing is extremely easy through VitusVet app. Information in Explanation of Benefits is helpful to understand claim payment amount. Any time I do have to call in, which is rare, customer service is very helpful and always follows through on their follow up action.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
