Great coverage and owner stress relief! :)

Great service and stress free. The only suggestion would be to process claims and issue payment quicker.

Pancreatitis

Coco (my mixed breed dog) had spent the night throwing up and she was refusing food (which is just not like her). I was visiting my parents and had to take her to an unknown vet where they lived - meaning I didn't know what to expect for a bill, but I knew it would be high (blood work, x-rays and such). The fact that I have insurance on Coco made the decision making process much easier. I could get her the care she needed and not have to worry about the cost of everything. I just can't imagine having a dog and NOT having insurance! Coco was diagnosed with Pancreatitis and we were able to focus on caring for her instead of stressing over the cost of her treatment.

Easy claim submission and quick payment

Unfortunately my dog developed an autoimmune condition at this 1st birthday. I am grateful I had nationwide insurance. His hospital and chronic medications were so expensive. Nationwide was quick in turning around the reimbursement and was so easy to submit the claim via my phone app. I highly recommend nationwide and would definitely use nationwide for all my future dogs.

Very good insurance

Nationwide Pet Insurance is a reasonable cost for good services. Easy to submit claims via the app on my phone and the reimbursement is deposited into my checking account automatically. We have 2 cats and 1 dog on the plans. Nationwide is better than any other pet insurance plan we have researched.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
Since 1982, Nationwide has helped pet owners protect what matters most.
