Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I’ve been in the pet business for over a decade and have researched many different companies for pet insurance. Nationwide is without fail the best pet insurance in the market because it gives you the most flexibility! In addition, their processing claims is quite fast, and every staff member is empathetic and kind. Highly recommend!!

Never a haggle, claims paid promptly, no complaints...and... my Golden is staying in good shape at age 13! I believe the wellness exams and her healthcare along the way has given her a very healthy life. Thank you for your service....and concerns.

very disappointed in service. I tried to upgrade my service for my one year old to the same plan as my other 2 year old pet (whole pet wellness). Only had one claim so far and I was honest and told them he was going to the vet for an ear infection check up. I was denied the upgrade because of a simple ear infection. Very disappointed and will be looking at other options.

Have had very little problems in the claims area. Angel, our dog, has had 5 surgeries on his knees and the claims were processed with no delay or questions. The remaining claims have been process fairly and quickly. We are glad to have the coverage. If there is any complaint I would like lower premiums and/or deductible, otherwise your policy is great.

At first I had a little trouble with the online portal for the Nationwide pet insurance portal. I had not set up something to do with my pet, that I did not know to do in advance. So it would not let me process the claim online. I tried to trouble shoot, multi browsers etc. Finally, I did get someone on the phone and she told me how to email in my claim, and she explained what went wrong. This went smoothly! I was paid a very generous sum! And within only two weeks. Very transparent process! Really pleased! It's amazing how a routine set of injections can cost so much and I go to a supposedly lower cost vet, But NO not so low cost it would seem. I even did not do the stool sample as part of the routine checkup, as I was just trying to save money, and now I am wishing I had, as I bet my insurance covers it!
