Excellent customer service!

It's comforting to know we are able to provide the care we need for Holly and be reimbursed for some of our expense. We previously had pets that became very ill and the expenses were outrageous. The communication we receive whenever we call Nationwide is courteous and informative. In these days of a lot of companies lacking in good customer service, we really appreciate Nationwide.

Great insurance but pricey

This is good pet insurance. But I am paying good money for it. The second year premium went up so drastically but I am staying with the policy since I’m told it is locked in for 3 years. Customer service is very good especially Nancy L.

Nationwide is the best from the VetHelpLine to their fast claims and ease of use.

I am blown away by the ease of use for claims. The app makes it easy to submit claims and very quick turnaround time. In addition, we used the VetHelpLine when our dog hurt his paw. They were so kind and helpful. Even called to check on him. I could not be happier with my choice of pet insurance for our Tomahawk.

I've had a wonderful experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance

My pup was diagnosed with cancer last year so we have had quite a few bills over the past year. Nationwide has made it very easy to submit claims and the Customer Service team has been Amazing every time I have called with questions! I also absolutely love that email submission for claims is now available- extremely quick service. I recommend this to anyone I know that gets a new pet and how wonderful it's been over the many hurdles we've had over the years.

Nationwide has been our saving grace.

Our experience with VPI/Nationwide has been incredible. We have ran into several instances where our dog has become ill and we have always felt confident in doing what is best for his health because we are hopeful that our coverage will take care of us. It has always pulled through so we are firm believers in investing here and recommend Nationwide at every chance we get.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
