Nationwide is awesome.

My Coco is my everything and when he is sick Nationwide is a peace of mind knowing no matter what medical attention Coco may need I know he’s covered with Nationwide. I am grateful they’re there for Coco and me.

Amazing insurance

I cannot say enough great things about our experience with Nationwide Pet thus far. Until recently, we never had to claim much other than our basic vet visits. Piper had TPLO knee surgery in September and we have had ALOT of claims due to this. We have yet to be disappointed in any of our refunds. Which by the way are extremely prompt and easy to submit! Without the Whole Wellness plan, the cost of the surgery would have been overwhelming, but knowing we were getting most of it back certainly eased our minds. Thank you!

glad to have insurance on a pure bred dog, but wish it covered more of total costs put out

Decided to purchase insurance on 2nd Doberman after multiple issues w/first Dobie. So far is worth it but costly and doesn't cover a lot of the expenses. I feel it's more of a catastrophic coverage policy. It does give a portion back on normal fees and the process is simple w/my vet sending the info to Nationwide. Nationwide is prompt at refunding as well and when I've had to speak w/representatives they are very helpful and polite.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
