Best investment for the health of your pet, including wellness care
Being on a fixed income, I looked into the costs of wellness plans and pet insurance when adopting my kitten since vet costs can be unpredictable at times and I still had booster vaccines and preventative flea costs to calculate. After comparing the costs from various providers of having both a wellness plan and emergency/illness insurance for my pet, Nationwide was hands-down the best pricing. I thought I would need to purchase separate plans for wellness care and other care, but Nationwide is the only pet insurance provider that includes both options under one policy AND is reasonably priced with a competitive deductible and higher reimbursement percentage. My kitten met his deductible in just a couple routine wellness visits, so now I can actually look forward to picking up his preventative each month, knowing that 90% of it is covered. Even my vet's office is amazed by how comprehensive and easy claims management is with Nationwide. So far my only issues are that filing the claims online can't be done from within my customer account login, but I am able to submit them online using a different link on the website. Payment is also reimbursed to me electronically via ChasePay, so I had to set-up an account initially to receive the payments and have them sent to my bank account. The first time you do that is important since you have to accept the payment in your ChasePay account as well as authorize it to be sent to your bank account. If this isn't done, the payment is sent back to Nationwide. After the set up your ChasePay account the first time, you can choose automatic transfer to your bank account for future payments. But electronic payments are pretty quick after I submit a claim, so far I have the money back into my bank in less than a week in most circumstances, which includes processing time for the claim and the money transfers. I have recommended Nationwide Pet Insurance to everyone I know with a furry companion.
