Best Insurance Company for your Vet Needs

Great Company. Has my dog's back from nose to tail. Easy to apply for reimbursement. If you have a pet you need insurance, just like people. Nationwide's Insurance is very affordable and really covers a lot for the cost. I have Nationwide on both of my cockers and wouldn't be without it.

Happy to have good pet insurance

So glad that we have pet insurance when we need it. Mia is not often sick, but after relocating to Northwest Florida from South Florida we encountered a sick doggie. We were quickly able to locate our new vet who was awesome. He prescribed medications and Mia was on the mend rather quickly. So good to have a happy girl again. We filed a claim for yearly visit before we moved on 11/30 and it was paid out by 12/3. We filed this last claim on 12/9 and it is in process of being paid out. Claims are easy to file. I do it myself now rather than bother my vets staff. If Nationwide has a question they email and I am able to fix the issue and the claim goes on. We now have our 2nd pup on the plan through my work insurance. How cool is that? So far no problems with our pup so we have not had to file for her, but when we do, we know Nationwide will respond quickly. The only thing we do not like is that the premium has gone up every year. Mia is worth it but it if gets much higher we may have to find a different insurance for her. They say age of dog does not matter nor do the amount of claims but it has gone up significantly from what started at 80/mo to now 143.00. Nationwide you need to get a handle on that piece or you will lose customers.

Inconsistent

I have had inconsistent customer service with my experiences. Upon signing up for the policy I was very transparent with the agent on Sophie and my concerns and once covered, I did learn Sophie had cancer. After removal of her tail, I was told by the agent since we removed the area /host where the cancer was and did the asked 2 CT scans proving it was gone, she would be covered for all. This is not the case and I was then told mast cell cancer will always be on her record. I would have NEVER put my dog through more CT scans had this been told tome correctly. Some agents are kind and empathetic and others it is clear they are treating each call as a transaction. The rest of her items have been easy to submit and get approved but it has left a bad taste in my mouth how this policy was explained to me especially with all the documentation I have been able to provide stating we did not know her condition and it wasnt found until after the policy was in place. AS a parent of a fur baby, all agents should be empathetic. Then they auto renewed me without ever contacting me to see if I wanted to or how it was going. There was never a review conducted

Easy to use and So much is covered!

I have had a few different pet insurances in the past and this one is my favorite for a few reasons. 1 Low deductible, only 100! 2. They cover almost everything! Most of the other policies we had did not cover check ups or prescriptions which are the most expensive (other than emergencies). 3. Quick turn around! I usually get paid within 2 or 3 weeks which is much faster than other companies I have worked with. 4. They seem to really care about my dog, they always check in after we have a visit!.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
