Clear & reasonable filing, reviewing, and receiving claim

Have had a small streak of slow responses, but that has improved over the past year. All is good with filing a claim and automated responses let me know it was received. I’ve also used their service to make decisions about expensive tests and procedures- excellent being able to speak to someone that’s knowledgeable. It’s like getting a second medical opinion. A huuuge value + relief on many levels. Really thankful!

Nationwide, Caring and Efficient

Nationwide has been around forever. But I used to have VPI , which changed to Nationwide. They took over VPI and I have seen my claims done efficiently and timely. I had 2 dogs and 1 died. They were so compassionate. Thank you, Nationwide. .

The ver technician on the other end of the line was caring, knowledgeable, and professional.

The vet tech gave us sound advice for our emergency, besides, the insurance has been a breeze to work with. We got a big bill because we took our pet on a weekend to a vet hospital, but after we submitted our receipt to Nationwide they reimbursed us within a week.

Glad I selected Nationwide insurance

Thank you very much for quick and prompt resolution of my claims. I am a bit dissapointed that Cabbage's rabies immunization was not covered, but I am a novice with insurance and that might be expecting that mandatory immunizations will be covered. otherwise, I am happy with your services.

Easy claim process

The claim process after our recent vet visit was so easy and we were reimbursed faster than we expected! We’re new to pet insurance but would definitely recommend for peace of mind!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
