A small cost to reduce anxiety

We recently lost our mini doxy Penny to IVDD. The bill was over $3000. We decided that for our new pup Ginger we would be very proactive about preventative care including chiropractor. I was a little skeptical at first as I did purchase the whole package with preventive care and I figured I’d have to submit a mound of paperwork for the claim and probably do it 2-3times before getting anything. But in fact it took 3 min to file the claim, it was approved immediately and funds in my account the next day. To say I’m satisfied is an understatement and I hope, God forbid, Ginger has a health issue as awful as Penny did, that we are prepared to handle the financial end much better. Also I won’t be putting off health care as I’ve had to do with our other dachshunds. I recommend this policy highly.

Easy claims, great customer service

I highly recommend Lemonade for pet insurance. Customer service is very responsive and super nice. Filing a claim is quick and easy. I have no complaints, they are excellent!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
