Lemonade | Pet Insurance Review

It was my first time having pet insurance. I also have their renters insurance and I'm so so satisfied with them and have peace of mind with them. After the vet visit, they approve the claim within 1-2 business days and they're super friendly and walk me thru every single thing on their policy. Especially an agent named Michele cared about my pet's health and worked so hard to get my claim approved on the same day. I'm 100% satisfied with their insurance when it comes to preventative care but I just wish they have more coverage for dental!

Lemonade is a "CONSUMMATE" pet insurance service that I just would NOT trade for the entire world. :-)

I compared 8 different, top-rated pet insurance companies in my area. On paper, Lemonade was the best for my immediate needs, so I decided to go purchase the policy with them. I appreciate their transparency—they clearly list what they do and don't cover, and allow you the option to add-on additional services so you can pay for the services you actually want to use. The claims process is pretty easy. You can do it right from your phone. (One criticism I have is that I would also like the option to submit claims from my desktop). I pay the vet in advance, and submit claims and get reimbursed automatically into my bank account within a few days after the claim is approved. My pet has one issue that presented before her insurance waiting period was over, so Lemonade doesn't cover the treatments. Whenever they need to deny my claim, someone actually calls me to explain to me why the procedure/treatment isn't covered so I fully understand. I really can't ask for better customer service than that!
