Friendly, easy and communicative.

I found Lemonade pet insurance to be extremely easy to set up and make the first claim. After my cat required further treatment, the representative that I was in contact with was extremely friendly, empathetic and helpful. He was always communicative, even when my vet clinic was slow in providing him with the information he needed to resolve the claim. I felt in good hands with lemonade, and I'm very happy I switched to them.

App is user friendly and reimbursement is quick

I took both my cats to the vet, everything was covered that should have been, filing the claim was quick and easy and reimbursement was received in 24 hours! I have never trusted pet insurance before with previous pets, but this has made me a believer and was totally worth it!

Great, compassionate customer care

I spent a lot of time "googling" and researching pet insurance companies after adopting a rescue dog a few months ago. I am so glad that I found Lemonade. My plan is affordable, and the Lemonade team is professional, compassionate, and takes the time to explain things clearly. I've had 2 claims in the last 3 months and so far I am very happy as is my pet dog! I've already recommended Lemonade to some people, most recently to the technician who works with my dentist. In fact, I made my recommendation during a root canal procedure!

Lemonade makes submitting claims and getting reimbursed so easy! The support agents are always so helpful and I love their periodic check ins after submitting a claim. I wish that health insurance for humans was this simple!!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
