So easy and intuitive

I feel like most insurance companies try to make it as difficult as possible to understand your plan and file a claim. Lemonade is the COMPLETE opposite. It was so easy to sign up for both renter's and pet insurance, and filing a claim takes 10 minutes. The app is super easy, minimal, and intuitive to use. I took my pooch in for her yearly check-up and vaccines and was reimbursed the SAME DAY. The premium is pretty competitive too, but honestly, even if there are cheaper plans out there, I would pay more for the convenience and ease of use. I've already gotten 3 people to sign up.

Lemonade is the way to go

I heard about Lemonade pet insurance through a co-worker who said that she had found them to be the most economical while providing great service. I quickly got a quote and after seeing what it covered for the price, I signed up. So far, so good. Customer service has been great. The two claims I filed were paid within 24 and 72 hours, respectively.

Best insurance company with excellent customer service

The lemonade app is very easy to use. I used it purchased the rental insurance, then got the pet insurance bundle. After one month that I had the insurance. Laika accidentally ate rodent poison. We took her to emergency and filed a claim afterwards. Lemonade processed it very quickly!

From thw beginning to post claim, the team was supportive with an excellent bedside manner. Im hoping as they expand that they dont change.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
