If you puppy likes bees, take the insurance!

I was on the fence about pet insurance when we got our puppy. After all, he was healthy! I work for a pet rehab facility and we have several clients that spend thousands on treatment for back and leg injuries. After doing a lot of research, I chose Lemonade because if your pet doesn't use the insurance, they donate a portion of your premiums to charity! I also chose the wellness plan to cover rehab and healthy dog visits. Leroy ate a couple of yellow jackets at 16 weeks and we had to rush him to the vet. Filing a claim could not be easier! It's actually a fun process! I even felt a little bit guilty because they have paid more in claims than I have paid in premiums so far. I am thankful I ran across Lemonade and highly recommend them!

Don’t look anywhere else. This is the best pet insurance out there. Excellent customer service. Fast claim payments deposited into your bank account. Lemonade is AMAZING!

Super Easy to Work With

Lemonade has been outstanding. I bought insurance when I got my pup at 8 weeks. She's since been for her regular well-pet check and shots which Lemonade paid out on within 2 days. A few weeks ago she got sick and again, Lemonade approved my claim and I had my reimbursement within a couple of days. For the money, this insurance is excellent!

Very easy automated step-by-step process. Great guided experience.

I loved that I could do everything in the app. I was taken through the process step-by-step. It was easy to submit documents. And my claim was paid out the next day directly to my bank account. Very little additional effort on my part. Helped that my vet was very familiar with what I would need for a pet insurance claim, and made sure I had everything emailed to me ahead of time.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
