Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has been incredible during a very difficult time. My dog had a life threatening incident called Gastric Volvulus Distention that is also known as bloat. It occurs rapidly and can kill in a matter of hours. It requires an extensive (and very expensive) abdominal surgery and 2 nights in the hospital in order to survive. For many pet owners this problem would mean a death sentence for the animal because of the expense involved to save them. Brady, my 8 month old dog has a long life ahead of him and b/c of Healthy Paws Insurance (and the emergency hospital of course) he has completely recovered and is with me for many more years. My experience with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance has been nothing short of amazing and excellent. Filing the claim documents was very easy, they responded immediately and have kept in contact each step of the way. The rates are very reasonable also. I have saved many thousands of dollars with their help. I will never have an animal again without this insurance! They are great!

I have used other companies in the past and really did a thorough search comparing all the companies when I found Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I have use them for over five years now. They have been fantastic in the ease of filing claims and the promptness of claims being completed. Their customer service has always been second to none. My dog has had Healthy Paws insurance since we got him 6 years ago. He has a serious seizure disorder and inflammatory bowel disease which thanks to Healthy Paws and his Vet, Vet Neurologist and Vet Internist he lives a very happy life! He is on 25 pills every day and you would never know it. Healthy Paws covers all his medication and tests including endoscopy, MRI, ER visits with overnight stays, and operations.

I have had my cats insured by Healthy Paws for a number of years. An occasional submission here and there. Till March of this year. One of our two cats, Naaz, had what seemed to be a small issue with a blood level. It quickly became more than we thought. She needed surgery. We worried that, being we are in the middle of the Corona Virus lock down (March - April 2020), submissions, reviews or payments would be delayed. I needn't worry. Healthy Paws was there for us. They never once questioned what the Veterinarians did to help Naaz - from the first biopsy through the surgery. Nothing hidden, no fine print I missed - now that thousands were being spent by them. And they paid me back quickly - typically within a week. In the middle of a pandemic! All I can say is thank you for doing your part when you were called upon.
