Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I love Healthy Paws pet insurance! I have used pet insurance for my fur babies my entire adult life and I have previously been with other companies which I wasn't happy with. Between expensive prices, low levels of coverage and complicated claim submission procedures, I shopped around. After seeing all of the great reviews and this company having the highest ratings, I switched to them back in 2015 and I haven't ever looked back. The monthly premium is very reasonable and the coverage level is fantastic! Placing a claim in their app couldn't be any easier. Just log in to the claims portal, snap a picture of the invoice right from the app, and press submit. It literally takes 30 seconds. I always have my claim submitted before I walk out of the vet's office. I get instant feedback via email that they received it. I get contacted if further documentation is needed, and I get another email once the claim is completed. The turnaround time is very short. The app is user-friendly and streamlined. I remember when I was in London, England, a friend of mine saw the little puppy icon for the app on my phone and told me she was jealous her pet insurance company didn't have an app =) Finally, the customer service reps have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and often go the extra effort to make sure every question is answered and every request is properly addressed. I cannot say enough good things about this outstanding company!

My 6 1/2 year old Yorkie (Casey) was passing blood in his stool on the evening of 7/21/20. Immediately took him to the emergency hospital where he was treated for IBS, I incurred considerable out of pocket expense for that visit. The next day I put in an insurance claim to Healthy Paws which was completed the following day. I requested that I be reimbursed as quickly as possible. Two days later the reimbursement funds were back into my checking account. Very rarely do you receive that kind of service from any insurance company. I truly recommend Healthy Paws. Mel

Healthy paws truly processes your claims quickly and are affordable! We are so happy we decided to cover our puppy and recommend it for everyone. we can’t plan for accidents and genetic illnesses but they happen so why not protect your loved one to ease the stress.

My dog recently had a biwel obstruction due to dietary indiscretion (as labs are often to do), and he unfortunately needed an object surgically removed. The cost for the surgery was well over $1,000, and I was concerned after reading stories about people having claims for such issues denied for seemingly no reason. I feared the stress of fighting insurance to ensure my pup had the best care and that I could afford it. Fortunately, my fears were unfounded. I had my pup examined for a full physical before this issue (important to do, or your policy could be in trouble), and after getting the vet records sent off, I was reimbursed 80% (minus the deductible) within 2 weeks. I did not have to argue with anybody, or deal with excessive questions. Healthy Paws even sent emails to check in on my dog's recovery. Completely satisfied with this insurance policy thus far. My only complaint is that submitting a claim or vet records via their app can be troublesome depending on the file type you receive invoices in. It wants pictures of hard copies, which were a bit of a nuisance to get during this pandemic. Hopefully they can adjust to allow uploading PDF files as well, as my vet (and many others, I presume) send bills digitally in that or similar formats. So far, great company. I am happy with my dog's coverage, and will keep it with the hope of never needing it again.

Healthy Paws has been nothing short of spectacular. From the customer service (They even checked up on my pup who had a couple of major surgeries), to the coverage, to the ease of working with them. Hands down the best pet insurance you can get.
