Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I've had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for my dogs for almost 10 years now; Stella was, and Luna is a part of our family. It's important that they get the best care without worrying about the financial impact if they got seriously hurt or sick. While literally every other insurance company (from health to auto and home) is sending their customers REBATES and rate reductions, Healthy Paws is INCREASING Luna's rate by $10/month (up 33%!) (No claims, by the way) Their response is that it was a rate increase across the board in NV, approved before COVID ever hit and there's nothing they can do. I call B.S.. COVID happened and people and business have to ADAPT to the reality of the world. So they just lost a 10 year old customer to Lemonade pet insurance, who is giving me better coverage at a cheaper price than Healthy Paws BEFORE the increase. Screw you, Healthy Paws, for screwing your customers with an obscene 33% increase in premium cost during this time of national emergency.

Just like any responsible pet parent we went for the pet insurance but little did we know about the future.. unfortunately our baby had many health issues (UTI, auto immune disorder ) n healthy paws had always helped us n gave us the confidence to go ahead with the best available medical care. The process is so easy n takes less than a minute to claim..it’s our 3rd year n will continue to be a part of this..

After researching carefully I chose healthy paws for my dogs insurance when I brought her home at 9 weeks. My daughters dog has the same insurance. It's something you hope you never have to use but you're glad you have it when the time comes. And when my dog started limping and I was slapped with a 4k+ bill for knee surgery, I was glad to have Healthy Paws - the claim process is SO easy and they have been great to work with.

I did not purchase pet insurance until my dog was over 5 years old and luckily she had no preexisting conditions. Two years later she developed mast cell cancers and had to have several surgeries, and still has to have scans and periodic check-ups one year later. Healthy Paws paid claims quickly and checked on her condition regularly. I have recommended Healthy Paws to many friends and am forever thankful that I had the foresight to purchase their 80% plan. I will never own a pet without purchasing insurance and would recommend it for all pet owners.
