I had always wondered if pet insurance was worth it and if they would provide adequate coverage but I decided to try it because I would do anything for my sweet pups! Healthy paws pet insurance could not be more worth it! I am so so thankful I have healthy paws pet insurance and recently put it to the test (unfortunately) as my 4 year old tore a ligament in her knee (ccl) and had to have a TPLO surgery. Healthy paws holds 110% true to their coverage claims and I was reimbursed quickly and without any hassle whatsoever. I also did the math and found that what I paid monthly (for 3ish years since I got her insurance) wouldn’t have even paid for a half of her procedure. So healthy paws has not only saved me a tremendous amount of money but also time and stress and I was also able to go to one of the best and top rated veterinary sports medicine orthopedic surgeons in my state because I didn’t have to shop around for a cheaper option. After researching numerous pet insurance companies, I found that Healthy Paws was the best fit for our furry family. It was very easy to sign up and even easier to navigate their app. Within 2 months of adopting Duncan, he needed knee surgery. Prompt, helpful, and compassionate service
I couldn't be happier with the service we received from Healthy Paws. The last thing we need to worry about when dealing with a pet health emergency is our insurance and Healthy Paws really enabled us to focus on what was most important...our dog's health! THE WORST!!
HANDS DOWN, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED.
After the first year, my premium was increased 12%. After the second year, they attempted to raise it ANOTHER 20% above that. I declined and wanted to cancel before the increase started (I was given roughly six weeks’ notice to the increase).
I spoke to a customer service agent, and was given the deadline I needed to cancel by. I called and canceled on that date because I wanted the full (paid) coverage in case something happened with my pet before the premium increased.
It turns out I should've been given the day before, as THAT date was day 1 of the new billing cycle, when they'd charge my credit card with the 20% increase.
I'm six weeks into trying to get my refund, and it still has not even been looked at by their Operations Dept. "They're very busy" is the excuse I'm giving each time I call for an update, which is weekly.
With each call, I get ten apologies (right off their script), but no closer to resolution. Absolutely pitiful service, based on information their employee gave me. It's clear no one with authority is in a rush to make this right and refund the charge. I'm held hostage by Healthy Paws. Thank God my rent, mortgage, groceries, utilities, etc aren't dependent on those funds (MY FUNDS) being available to me.

Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
