Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

We have two Spinone Italianos. Both insured with Healthy Paws. One of the dogs has had two problems that lasted for more than a few months. One was an uncommon parasite and the other a antibiotic-resistant bacterial infection in one ear. Healthy Paws has been there for us and more. Easy to file claims. Incredibly fast turnaround on evaluating claims and communicating with us. Payments on claims very fast. I recommend Healthy Paws with zero reservations.

When my first dog joined our family, I looked into all that dog ownership entails and discovered that health insurance is available for dogs. I researched many companies and finally, due to their many great reviews, decided upon Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. When I eventually needed to use my insurance, I was happy to find that the reviews I based my decision upon were true. My dog has had many procedures as well as two major surgeries. I have had such great experiences with this company that I finally decided to write a review. My dog’s last surgery and tests took place in September. I filed three claims with Healthy Paws on September 28, 2020. I immediately received an email letting me know they were working on my claims and that they wanted me “to focus on caring for your pet and not worry about your pet health policy.” That same day, September 28th, two of my claims were completed. The third claim was completed the following day. In addition, I received a separate email asking me how my dog was recovering after surgery and hoping that all was well with him. Healthy Paw’s timely response to all my claims as well as the care and concern they have exhibited for my pet’s well-being make them the best place to go for pet insurance. I highly recommend them.

They were just horrible. If you want your pet to be treated right don't come here

Healthy Paws has been a life saver for us. Our cat suddenly started vomiting blood, so we made an emergency appointment. It was a very scary, heartbreaking, and emotional experience. The vet bill ended up being very hefty, which was stressful as well. Healthy Paws processed our claims in less than two days, and we had a reimbursement check in the mail in another couple of days – what a relief. Not only that, but they sent a really sweet email to check on how our cat was doing! Healthy Paws is a truly caring, efficient, and affordable pet insurance company. I highly recommend them for anybody who has pets. It takes a huge financial strain off of your back and allows you to focus on what’s truly important – your sick pet. On top of all that, they run a foundation which donates money to shelters and rescues. I can’t recommend them enough!
