Healthy Paws is great pet insurance. Their quick communication on documents required for processing the claim & the very quick time on receiving reimbursement were phenomenal. I literally tell anyone who gets a pet to get Healthy Paws immediately
Look-- I am not the type to write reviews of anything, let alone a positive review of an insurance company, most of which, in my experience, are trash. But I'll say this in stark terms: if I didn't have Healthy Paws, my beloved dog and best friend Clark would not be alive today. When Clark was two years old, he slipped a disc in his back that shattered and caused paralysis in his hind limbs. He was also diagnosed with IVDD, a degenerative spinal condition that meant this could be the first of many times this happened to the poor guy. It was devastating and completely unexpected and the surgery to repair the damage was.... deep breath... $10,000. Not only did Healthy Paws come through on their promise to cover to 90% of the surgery (which, if they had not, I would have been looking at some grim options), but they were a breeze to get on the phone, so easy to deal with, so sweet, and took at least one part of what was an insanely horrific time period and actually made it better. I was even able to arrange for them to pay for their portion of the surgery costs up front in that particular instance. Then, they covered his physical therapy and rehab! And then, a month ago, the issue recurred. Another disc, another $10,000 surgery. Every aspect of it was so awful aside from, again, dealing with Healthy Paws, who killed it all on fronts. I cannot recommend them enough and wish human insurance was this great. Seriously, do not wait til your loved one is injured or sick and you're standing in some waiting room in the middle of the night debating your life savings vs. your pet's life. These guys are the real deal!!

The Best Pet Insurance Ever!!!
Healthy Paws is the BEST Pet Insurance Ever. They are caring and very efficient at processing your claim. My sweet boy was injured and needed surgery. As soon as they received the records from my vet, they processed the claim right away and the funds were in my account In only a few days so I could pay my bill. I have had other pet insurance companies before and none of them were as caring and efficient as Healthy Paws.

Scam on Premium Increases
I purchased a Healthy Paws policy because the company said it only raises premiums to keep up with increasing cost of veterinary care. Unfortunately my policy has increased each year for the last five years well beyond increases in the cost of veterinary care. Most recently, my policy increased 35% in one year. I will never purchase Healthy Paws again and am going to switch my younger dog who doesn’t have preexisting conditions.

Healthy Paws is the BEST Pet Insurance…
Healthy Paws is the BEST Pet Insurance ever. They were caring and very efficient in processing my clam. My baby had an accident and needed surgery and once receiving the report from the vet they immediately paid my claim. I had the funds in my account in a few days so I could pay my bill.
I highly recommend them over any other plan. I had tried others in the past but none were as good as them.

Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
