Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

When my five and a half year old, female mixed mutt Lea had an emergency due to a blocked uretha, which ultimately turned into a seven day stay in the hospital, Healthy Paws was there to guide me through what was needed to file my claim and get it paid quickly. I've had other insurance companies over the years with my other dogs, but they always had a per incident deductible, annual limits or lifetime limits, weird reimbursement schedules, etc. Having Healthy Paws coverage is a blessing because an illness can quickly go from "ok, I've got this covered" to a mind boggling, scary journey in the blink of an eye. Healthy Paws were there when we needed them and I know they will be there in the future should we need them again. Paws Down the best customer service staff and claims were paid quickly. Lea is my world and seeing her doing so well, makes my heart sing again.

Best decision ever! I did not anticipate having a two year old Ragdoll in the hospital for a week but was comforted knowing 90% of the costs would be covered by Healthy Paws. I uploaded his invoice and just a few days later had confirmation they were covering and then a direct deposit was made within 24 hours. Our precious Baxter is on the mend and I’m beyond grateful to Healthy Paws for their outstanding commitment to customer service and prompt payment. Healthy Paws is great and not too expensive. My husky is a typical husky, gets into everything and is very accident prone. They have given us no issues with the amount of claims we've had to file. Their claim filing procedure is extremely easy and you get your payment in approximately 10 days!

Bodhi, our 8 year old toy poodle, has been insured with healthy paws since he was 6 months old. A year ago we got the devastating news that Bodhi had developed Diabetes, and would most likely need cataract surgery. In the year since his diagnosis, he has had a number of veterinary tests, as well as cataract surgery in both eyes. Healthy Paws has been fantastic in helping to pay for these procedures - and was very communicative throughout. A common complaint is the fact that premiums increase every year (ours have doubled in the 8 years since we took the insurance out) - but to us it's completely worth it since they have been so good at paying for Bodhi's health . We wholeheartedly recommend Healthy Paws - like all insurance - you hope you never have to claim - but it is nice knowing they will come through for you when you need it.
