Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I had pet insurance for 14 years with a previous pet. When I got a new puppy I looked into the same insurance. The rates were astronomical and so many common dog illnesses were omitted. I did my research and found Healthy Paws. I am so thrilled with this company! Customer service is tops, turnover once claim is received is only a few days. My guy has had a few situations that needed surgery or hospitalization, and I am so happy with the amount covered. This company is awesome!

Luna needed emergency surgery for blockage in her intestines on Christmas Eve. We submitted the vet invoice after the surgery and getting her home and Healthy Paws was right on it. We received updated email informing us about the status of the claim and when to expect a result. They responded when they said they would and covered the claim in full subject to our deductible and appropriate deductions (we have an 80% policy). I never had pet insurance before and didn’t know what to expect but this experience could not have been more professional, caring and complete. Luna is doing great now and back to her old self!

What a wonderful experience! And this is with an insurance company! I work as an advocate for pediatric families and try to help them navigate their insurance companies so I was skeptical about my reimbursement claims. However, Healthypaws made the entire experience extremely easy. I almost couldn't believe it. And on top of that they reached out to see how Snickers was feeling after his emergency anesthesia and endoscopy. How kind is that? Again from an insurance company! Not surprisingly I was responsible for 80% minus my deductible and office visit. After an almost $4500 vet bill it was a godsend to get some help. My 3 year old dachshund mix was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease. He herniated discs three times this year and had to have 3 surgeries. Healthy Paws covered the surgeries at 80% after a 250.00 deductible. It was the best investment. You never know what might happen.

Love these guys - a no nonsense plan that covers everything I need it to (90% of), with a one time annual deductible (not calendar year, mind you), and that doesn't have any limits on the max $$ back based on the "issue". A quick snap of the bill, within 24-48 hours the claim was processed and a check in the mail days later. And, the monthly premium is very industry competitive - I did shop and compare plans.
