Healthy Paws Pet Insurance on 1 year old Wire-Hair Pointer

I have had Healthy Paws Insurance on several of my dogs over the years and this year we had to submit a claim for our 1 year old wire-hair pointer, Helga. She developed a cataract on her right eye and because she is a hunting dog, it was very important for us to go through with the surgery. Helga is doing well and recovering, but it has been a long road. The easiest part of this entire thing has been working with Healthy Paws. Uploading the claims is so easy and within days I had answers on what was covered. I have received over $4,200 from Healthy Paws to cover her eye surgery thus far. Thank you for making this hard situation a lot easier.

Best decision I've made for my fur baby!

I've been with Healthy Paws for the last 5 years. I can't say enough about how amazing it's been to have that piece of mind for my fur baby. Chloe had two major health scares and Healthy Paws was there for me, helping and supporting Chloe and I every step of the way. Claim processing is so easy, conveneient and fast. Absolutely, hands down the best decision I made for Chloe

Healthy Paws has always been there for us! Not only on the financial side, providing us the support to give our Great Dane the best care, but they also checked in with us after care was given! The best!!

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
