Excellent Company

I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance from the day I brought my dog home. I researched all of the pet insurance companies and found Healthy Paws reviews to be the best. I really liked that there was only one annual deductible and no other caps on diagnoses or total amount of claims. Still, I was hoping that I would never need them. Unfortunately, I did ... several times over the last 6 years, most recently when my dog was diagnosed with a horrible eye disease. Every time I submitted a claim, Healthy Paws processed it quickly and easily. Given the enormous stress of my dog's illness, the last thing I needed was to have to fight with an insurance company. That was not the case with Healthy Paws. And, they followed up asking how my dog was doing. Excellent company with excellent customer service.

SO happy with this insurance!

When our little rescue girl, Bambi, came to live with us, I knew I wanted to get health insurance for her. I spent several hours researching companies & policies. I decided on HealthyPaws because they offered coverage for non-tradiional treatments as well as conventional ones, and they use part of their profits to support animal shelters. In the almost 4 years since taking out the insurance, HealthyPaws has been terrific. They are responsive to inquiries & reimbursement is very quick, usually within a week of the claim being submitted. The app is easy to use & the web site offers a very complete & up-to-date picture of the history of my girl's treatment submissions. I have no hesitation in recommending HealthyPaws to anyone looking for insurance for their pets & have recommended them to several friends, all of whom are just as happy as I am with their coverage & service! Thanks HealthyPaws for helping me take good care of Bambi!

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would! This is a horrible money sucking organization. I had this insurance for all 5 of my pets and have been paying a total of $1650 since October 2020. I submitted 2 claims in that time period. One of which was denied because they don't cover preventative health care or well check ups. The other, I just learned this morning, was approved but put towards an annual premium so I got nothing back. This new premium amount came out of nowhere and this company scammed me out of $1650. I canceled and will be taking my business elsewhere. I dont pay for premium health insurance for myself or my kids thinking, " ok, they are only half covered, so they'll get half care". I pay the money, I expect full care for my family. Why would it not be the same for family pets. I am very upset 😡 with this organization. SAVE YOURSELF AND YOUR PETS FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL DRAIN YOUR WALLET AND GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!!

Confusing claim process, poor communication, handlers don't read info provided

Very frustrating attempt at getting a claim submitted. My dog was sick, we took her to the vet. She was diagnosed with a UTI, put on treatment. This was not a preventative visit. I submit the claim to Healthy Paws. They write back asking for my dogs full prior medical history. I get this info from her vets and supply it to the company. Again, they ask for her full history. So I provide it again. This is repeated 3 or 4 times. Eventually, they deny my claim for not providing the information requested. I PROVIDED IT 4 TIMES!!!!! This seems like a scam to steal your premiums and not pay any claims. I asked the company for more info but nothing was provided.
