While my Australian Shepard, Zoey, was having her teeth cleaned an x-ray confirmed that she had a cracked tooth that needed to be extracted. In addition, surgery to remove a small, precancerous mass on her eyelid was also removed at that time. This routine dental cleaning turned into a pretty expensive medical bill. I did quite a bit of research into pet insurance before selecting Healthy Paws to insure my three dogs. The process for submitting this claim to Healthy Paws was very easy and I was impressed with how promptly the claim was reviewed and I was quickly reimbursed for the extraction and surgical procedures covered by the plan. I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance.

We had questions regarding a new policy. No body answers the phone or you are told there is a 2 hour wait or to call back later. That's not very encouraging for a new client.

Healthy Paws was recommended by many colleagues when I got my dog as a little puppy 6 years ago, I choose HP despite another pet insurance was offered with discount price from my work. Most recently my dog was diagnosed with anal sec tumor, facing a large amount vet bill for the surgery and possible future chemotherapy, I did not hesitate or worry about the necessary treatments, since I know that HP will cover all reasonable cost. In fact, the claim for the surgery bill was filed on last Friday afternoon and I already got the final decision this Monday with everything covered by the policy. I am very impressed with their fast response and the warm and caring messages I received during these difficult times. I purchased pet insurance when we got our puppy 2 years ago. Recently, our now 2 year old dog fell really ill. We had to go through 3 days of testing and it was expensive. We were grateful that we had insurance and each day, after the testing, I uploaded the invoice, the vet uploaded the notes and very quickly I received confirmation that the claim was being reviewed. Within 24 hours of each claim (there were 4 in total) I received notification that the claim had been processed and all I need to do now is wait for the checks. What was a very stressful time was made a little easier by the ease of filing the insurance claims and knowing our policy would pay their portion.

I have had Healthy Paws pet insurance for my 2 cats and 2 dogs for the last 4 years. Sadly, one of my animals has had major health problems every year. Healthy Paws has been wonderful. It is easy to submit claims, a decision is made and payment sent within a week. The customer service is outstanding. On Friday the 13th my little dog Pretzel lost the use of her back legs due to a blown out disk in her back. The cost so far is more than $10,000 -- for ER treatment, spinal surgery and dog rehab. Healthy Paws has cheerfully paid 80% of the cost -- much more responsive and efficient than my Blue Cross people insurance!!
