Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

Healthy Paws has been awesome since I got my puppy. They are speedy in their responses and reimbursements. I have not had to question any of our claims as they have given me detailed breakdowns every time.

Moxie has now had 4 knee surgeries and a tendon surgery, along with lots of rehab. Throughout, Healthy Paws was outstanding, claims were so easy to submit and customer service was flawless. Ok so the policy increased after the first claims which I fully understand, but was still worth every penny. We do have another dog on the policy and wouldn’t even consider another company. If you are thinking about signing up, look no further.

First I say when I initial insured my dog with them everything seemed fine. Responsive customer service and the like. Then after the first year with no claims raised my rates $5 per year 45-50. My dog was 1 year old. Since that time they have raised it every year. He just turned 5 and they have now raised it to $87 for 2021. I have filed one claim in the 5 years I have had him. This is a complete RIPOFF. So just to see what would happen I went back to their website and entered a factious pet with the same information as my dog, current weight and age with the same benefits. The quote I received ..... $47 ?????? So they get you on the hook and then increase your premiums every year. What a scam. I'm not real sure how they end up with such high rating every year. They probably have people or employee pad their reviews. Unless you like getting ripped off I would recommend not using them.

Our French Bulldog sustained a serious back injury recently. Healthy Paws pet insurance completed the claim quickly and with compaction. They stayed in contact with us during the whole process. Pua, our frenchie needed a emergency back surgery. Our out of pocket expenses were reimbursed a few days after the claim was closed. Healthy Paws has been wonderful during this stressful time. We are hopeful for a full and speedy recovery for Pua.

Our Rescue dog Scruffins was diagnosed with epilepsy last year and has had numerous trips to the hospital and is on multiple medications to try and help limit his seizures. Healthy Paws has been a lifesaver for my wife and I! They are incredible quick responding to inquiries and processing claims and sending out checks. We have never had any issues with them and we often talk about what a great company they are and how efficient they are. The other thing that is great about Healthy Paws is that they really seem to care. After Scruffins has spent time in the hospital or they notice that there have been several claims they reach out to us to see how he's doing and always wish him well and that personal touch really helps make a big difference. Scruffins is a beloved member of our family but it hasn't always been easy on us or him given his medical issues. Healthy Paws has really eased our stress and anxiety knowing how on top of everything they are.
